What: The Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan (APAS) and AgriVille.com are proud to announce they are joining forces to host the first-ever live webcast of a provincial election - Your Farm, Your Future, Your Vote! An Agricultural Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, November 1, 2011.
Why: The future of the farming community in Western Canada depends on leaders understanding the integral contribution farm and ranch families make in communities all across Saskatchewan. We need to act now and ensure that rural views are made clear during an election.
The Agricultural Town Hall Meeting will include discussion around key rural issues such as:
- Farm Profitability,
- Grain Transportation,
- Grain Marketing,
- Business Risk Management, and
- Other agricultural and rural issues.
Who: Bob Bjornerud, Minister of Agriculture, Saskatchewan Party;
Dwayne Yasinowski, NDP Candidate and Opposition Agricultural Researcher;
Moderator: Doug Faller, APAS Policy Manager
Audience: Saskatchewan farmers and ranchers; rural communities, industry stakeholders; consumers; urban cousins; and rural allies are all invited. Admission is free.
