Rural municipalities from across the province can voluntarily sign on to Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan (APAS). When they do, the ratepayers within their jurisdiction become members in APAS. As members, municipalities have the right to elect a representative to APAS.
The APAS Representative is responsible to articulate and advance key policy issues from their local area and to regularly bring information on APAS policy positions and activities back to the agricultural producers in their rural municipality. APAS Representatives are eligible to vote at general meetings, can run for and elect Directors for their Districts and sit on APAS Policy Committees. Rate-payers elect their APAS Representatives every two years in October. Learn more about APAS Membership
