Saskatchewan Launches Innovative Conservation Program
Saskatchewan is about to embark on a revolutionary conservation initiative that will fundamentally change how environmental challenges are handled in the province.

Alternative Land Use Services (ALUS) has a simple, yet revolutionary goal…create a healthy, working landscape that sustains agriculture, wildlife and natural spaces for all Canadians.
Under ALUS, farmers receive payments to deliver a variety of environmental goods and services; things like wildlife and pollinator habitat, improved water quality and cleaner air. It’s a new solution to our growing environmental concerns.
It’s good for farmers, good for wildlife and ultimately good for all Canadians. It's conservation everyone can be part of.
